E-Cops - Weekly News 10-JUN-2011

On Monday, 6th June, there was a report of a vehicle nuisance in Appletrees, Bar Hill. One of the occupants in Appletrees was repairing his vehicle in front of a block of garages in the location, and in doing so, was preventing other occupants from being able to access their garages requirring the police to attend to resolve matters.

On Tuesday, 7th June, there was a report of shoplifting form Tesco Super Store in Bar Hill. A man was detained by security staff and returned into the store. Police attended and arrested the suspect, who was later charged with theft from the shop.

On Wednesday, 8th June, I and PC Reeves and other local residents attended the neighbourhood watch meeting at Bar Hill Parish Council Offices, I am pleased to say that there was a lot more people attending than I was expecting. The meeting went very well and we hopping that the NHW will be up and running very soon. Considering Bar Hill is a large village with 1800 houses, we still need more people to come forward and joying the Neighbourhood Watch. The next meeting will be on Wednesday, 13th July at 19:00, same place Parish Council Offices, Please do come along, if you not able to attend, but you still want to take part in NHW, just make me aware and I will put your name forward.

On Sunday, 5th June, I carried out a two hour door to door police surgery in Almond Grove, Bar Hill. I consulted with a number of residents, am pleased to say that the consulting went very well with no issues identified.

Many Thanks
