E-Cops - Your weekly news 18-JUN-2011

I have had a very busy week, dealing with all sorts of enquiries, especially in Bar Hill.

You may all want to know why the helicopter was in the air above Bar Hill on Tuesday, 14th June. There was an arrest attempt in Stonefield, the suspect did not comply with the police request and decided to run. This suspect was later arrested opposite Stonefield in the wooden area between Bar Hill and Lolworth, and is now waiting to be charged for various offences.

Also this week, a Lithuanian man was arrested in Milton for going round collection charity bags. It appear that he was working for a company called Junatex, who apparently operate by dropping stickers through people's letter boxes asking them to put any unwanted clothing etc into a bag and stick the sticker on the side for collection. It is possible that they may also steal other charities' bags and stick their stickers on to cover their tracks. The Junatex stickers do not ever say they are a charity, they only say they are a clothes collection company.

I would like to remind you to look closely at any charity bags or stickers to see whether they really are for charity or whether they are actually companies making a profit from their donations.

On Monday, 13 June, there was a report of nuisance in Park Street, Dry Drayton. A group of youths were in the area playing football near by in the area, and they were seen kicking the football against residents property. Police attended and identified these youths and advised them about their behaviour.

On Thursday, 16th June, between 01:40 and 02:00, there was a burglary at the Bar Hill Social Club, in the Spinney involving two offenders. An enquiry is underway with the offenders not yet identified. If you were in the area at the time and saw this happening, please do get in touch, any information will be helpful.

Kind Regards
