E-Cops - Your weekly news 24-JUN-2011

I have been patrolling as much as possible this week in Bar Hill and I have continued to do so all over the weekend.

On Friday, 17th June, there was a report of suspicious activity in Hackers Fruit Fram, Huntingdon Road, Lolworth. The compliant came through as several white vans kept turning up in the area looking for scrap metal, two men were seen helping themselves in some metal that was kept at the location.
Please be aware of these people as they may help themselves in any other property they may find, if you come across these people report them immediately by ringing 0345 456 456 4.

On Saturday, 18th June, there was a report of nuisance in Appletrees, Bar Hill. The complaint was a party, playing very loud music. Police attended and advised the occupant to keep the noise down.

On Saturday, 18th June, there was a report of criminal damage to a fence in Oatland Avenue, Bar Hill. Complainant had been away on holiday, when returned discovered the damage to his fence. I carried out the routine investigation, unfortunately there was no witnesses seen this happened and no CCTV in the area, therefore the crime has been filed.

On Saturday 18th June, as part of our current panel priority, Pc Reeves conducted some speed checks along Scotland Road in Dry Drayton. On this occasion, Pc Reeves was joined by four volunteers from the Scotland Road Speedwatch group. It was a good opportunity for them to see how the Police speed checks work and how our checks differ significantly from speedwatch. During our checks between 10am and 11:15am, two motorists were given a warning in relation to their speed and one motorist was issued with a fixed penalty ticket of £60 and three penalty points.

On Saturday, 30th of July, at 13:00hrs, we will be holding a skating competition in Bar Hill. Please do spread the word about this event.
