E-Cops - Weekly Update 03-DEC-2011

Since your last Ecops update from PCSO Mani on 28th November, there have been two reported crimes for the area;

Between 13:20 and 13:30 on Thursday 1st December 2011, a male has left Tescos in Bar Hill with a fully trolley of goods valued at over £400, making no attempt to pay. The male was detained outside the store by Security Officers, interviewed by Police and will be attending court in the near future.

At an unknown time and date over the last two weeks, unknown offender(s) have removed a card payment reader from the McDonalds counter at Cambridge Services on the A14 at Boxworth. Offender(s) have then left in an unknown direction.

Below are the latest Panel priorities for the Swavesey Ward. These were decided at the latest panel meeting on 22nd November.

- Dwelling burglary, reducing house burglary following a series of break-ins.
- Metal theft, targeting illegal waste collectors and metal thieves.
- Road safety, conduct speed checks and seek to catch motorists using mobile phones.

Over the last week, officers have been conducting dedicated patrols in the evenings during the times and areas when a majority of the burglaries have been occurring. These patrols have been both on foot and in a vehicle. We still ask that you all please keep an eye out for any suspicious activity and report it to us immediately by calling 101 or in an emergency 999.

Kind regards
PC Claire Reeves and PCSO Bujar Mani
