First "Solar School" Hits Its Target ...

Just a quick update, courtesy of the folks at 10:10, on the Solar Schools project I brought you news of a few months back;

"On the 8th December sometime in the afternoon, one Simon Beaufoy stopped by the10:10 Solar Schools website and bought a row of tiles on E.P. Collier Primary School's virtual solar roof, taking them over the £10,000 target they needed to get the real panels up and running – a full three months ahead of schedule!

Simon may have pushed them over the line, but this was a real community effort. On the way to £10k, E.P. Collier ran cake sales, discos, curry nights and quizzes, and attracted hundreds of small donations from local people, ex-pupils and even a few 10:10ers.

E.P. Collier's virtual roof looks absolutely amazing – check it out here."
