Councillor Fights To Protect Green Belt

Cllr Geoff Heathcock
(LD, Queen Edith's)

Cambridgeshire County Councillor, Geoff Heathcock is fighting to protect Cambridge’s Green Belt after plans were lodged to build four new homes on its boundary.

The site, at a farm on Babraham Road, is also close to existing homes in the road and nearby Alwyne Road.

Cllr Heathcock, who represents Queen Edith’s and has objected to the planning application, said: “This application is both unwelcome and inappropriate when we want to do all we can to protect the green boundary and the unique setting this development would destroy.”
