Two Year Campaign For Road Repairs Pays Off

Cllr Geoff Heathcock
(LD, Queen Edith's)

A two year campaign to get repairs to Cambridge’s Mowbray Road and Queen Edith’s Way has finally paid off after the work has been included in this summer’s highways programme.

Cambridgeshire County Councillor, Geoff Heathcock, who represents Queen Edith’s, has made numerous complaints to the county council’s highways department about the condition of several sections of both roads and asked for several pot hole repairs.

He said: “I am delighted that highways engineers have finally agreed with me that improvements are badly needed to these two extremely busy roads. I look forward to seeing this work completed.”
