E-Cops - Your Regular News


Between 21:00 and 21:35 hours on 27th August a break in took place at the Fish & Chicken Take Away, Bar Hill. Unknown offender(s) have forced open a rear, metal door and gained entry into the shop. A safe was removed from inside and was left in the rear car park. No entry was gained to the safe.

On 27th August at 01:09 hours a suspect was arrested in the Bar Hill area for two offences: Taking a vehicle without owner’s permission and Driving whilst under the influence of alcohol. Offender has been charged and is due in Court soon.

On 3d of September at 14:00 hours an assault took place in Bar Hill. All parties involved have been identified and offender(s) have been dealt with.

There have been three further crime reported from Bar Hill Tesco. Two motorist have pulled into the petrol station, filled up their vehicles with fuel and made off without paying. One attempted to shop lift from the main store where the suspect has entered the store, selected items of alcohol at a cost of £1000 and made attempts to leave without paying. Suspect was arrested and dealt with accordingly.


Between 27th August at 22:30hours and 28th August at 04:00hours, a theft from a motor vehicle ‘’LGV’’ took place in Huntingdon Road, Girton. Unknown offender(s) have removed the fuel cap from a stationary parked lorry and siphoned 350 litres of diesel whilst the lorry driver was asleep.

Between 28th August at 16:30 and 29th August at 12:00, a dwelling burglary took place in Girton Road, Girton. Unknown offender(s) have gained entry into the property by forcing the kitchen window open and stolen a gas boiler at cost of £1000 which had been fitted recently. At a later time the house owner also has discovered that further items such as electrical equipment has been found missing to a value of £400.

A suspicious vehicle has been seen in the area by a member of the public around the time this burglary. We are working to identify those

Between 29 August at 18:00 hours and 4th September at 13:00 hours, there has been a report of criminal damage to the Community Centre, St Vincent’s Close, Girton. Unknown offender/s have broken the grey, exterior, letter box on the Community Centre by pushing in the door, trapping post inside.
