Read And Re-Use

Cambridgeshire Libraries will be at the AmeyCespa Recycling Open Day in Waterbeach on Saturday (13 July) to receive book and magazine donations.

Learn how to reduce, re-use and recycle on a Journey through Waste between 10am-4pm. You can find out what happens to waste and recycling from collection to processing and beyond.

Whilst there you can find out how Cambridgeshire Libraries can re-use books and magazines to help support the service. Children who donate a book in one of the libraries listed below will receive a recycling passport and stamp which they can take along to the open day to continue their journey through waste.

Cambridgeshire County Council’s Cabinet Member for Learning, Councillor David Harty said "The Recycling Open Day will be fun for all the family, as well as an opportunity to find out more about waste and recycling. Libraries across the county accept donations of used books and magazines in good condition and at the day we’re hoping to spread the re-use message."
