Cambridgeshire Drivers: Come And Get Your Car Washed By Firefighters

Firefighters across Cambridgeshire are holding a number of car washes to raise funds for charity.

Soap and sponges will be at the ready at locations across the county to collect cash for The Fire Fighters Charity, which provides support, rehabilitation and care for fire service personnel across the country.

Parkside Place Community Fire Station, Cambridge, is holding a car wash on Saturday (Sep 21) from 9am until 5pm.

Firefighters at Ramsey Fire Station, in Great Whyte, Ramsey, are soaping up their sponges on Saturday (Sep 21) from 11am until 2pm.

Also on Saturday (Sep 21) firefighters at Wisbech are holding a car wash at the station in Churchill Road from 10am until 3pm.

The following Saturday, September 28, on-call firefighters based at Manea will be holding a car wash event at the Rose and Crown pub car park in the village's High Street, from 10am until 1pm.

Firefighter Matt House, one of the organisers, said: "All our firefighters will be giving up their time to drag the hoses out and wash cars for this worthwhile charity. It would be great to see as many drivers as possible stopping by at our various stations across the county and letting us get those cars sparkling clean!"
