Christmas Jumpers Raise Cash For Charity

Snowmen, reindeers and elves were just some of the comical festive characters that appeared at Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service headquarters as staff donned their Christmas jumpers for charity.

Dozens of staff members at the Huntingdon hub, including Control firefighters, officers and support personnel, wore their Christmas jumpers to work today (Friday, December 13) and raised nearly £150.

The money will be donated to Fenstanton Parish Church of St Peter and St Paul, which is fundraising to support victims of Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines.

Organiser Chris Cox, day watch firefighter (Control), said: "The day was a fantastic success with people showing various degrees of taste in aid of a good cause."
