Pre-Conference Policy Forum: Friday 28th @ St Luke's Church (Cambridge)

Friday 28th February, 7:30pm, St Luke's Church, Victoria Road, CB4 3DZ

The Lib Dem Spring Conference in York is fast approaching, and that means that this Friday the Cambridge Lib Dems will be holding a Pre-Conference Policy Forum. The event is open to all members, whether or not you are coming to York.

The event will be held at St Luke's Church, Victoria Road (not pictured above), starting at 7:30pm.

The Liberal Democrats are the most democratic of the major parties, reflected in the fact that our policy is set in debates at our conference that all members can participate in. Our policy forum in Cambridge is a chance to discuss the issues coming before conference, and to get your own views across to the voting representatives.

You can have a read of the conference agenda here. Of particular note, we have the Digital Bill of Rights backed by Cambridge MP Julian Huppert, aimed at safeguarding our privacy online. Another motion which has attracted some comment is Power to the People, a rather radical set of proposals for English devolution.

Anyone who takes a keen interest in the party's internal democracy should also have a look at the consultation on One Member One Vote. Exciting stuff.

Hope to see you there,
Jonathan Lancaster
Field Co-ordinator, Cambridge Liberal Democrats

P.S. If you haven't signed up to conference yet, it's not too late. All party members are welcome to here.
