Rainbow flag flies over South Cambs Hall

The rainbow flag will fly over South Cambridgeshire Hall throughout February to mark Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) history month.

LGBT History Month takes place in February every year, celebrating the lives and achievements of the LGBT community.

South Cambridgeshire District Council’s chairman, Cllr David Bard, was joined by council staff as he raised the flag this morning (Monday 2 February). This is the fifth year that the flag has been flown outside the Council’s offices in Cambourne Business Park.

Cllr Bard said: “I’m proud to see the rainbow flag flying outside South Cambridgeshire Hall again. We’re committed to promoting equality and diversity, both as a major employer and alongside other Cambridgeshire councils, public sector organisations and partners.”
